A tribute to our old house as we make ourselves cozy in the new one.

Jaden's favorite place to be in our old house was at the washing machine. He would travel from it to the kitchen cabinets quite content to open and close a cabinet door 50 times or just stand in front of the machine window watching the spin cycle. He's thankful we still have a washing machine at the new house, but it's a trek from there to the kitchen.

So here's a tribute to 2161 Vinton Ave: (it's really more about how cute jaden is, but we'll call it a tribute to the house)

Halloween Costume Party

I was a HORSE!!! But mom had it in her mind that it was a "cow" costume, so all day long she called me a cow when I was obviously dressed like a horse and could even "neigh" and gallop like one. We'll just let that one slip as she's had much on her mind lately...but for future notice, I'd like to learn the animals correctly, it'll save me some embarrassment in school!

Mom and I have a fun playgroup every two weeks...the week of halloween it was a costume party! Everyone looked so cute, I especially enjoyed Hayden who was dressed like an ipod, mom never lets me touch our ipod and sometimes it makes me very angry - I was glad mom let me touch Hayden even though he looked like an ipod. gently, i know mom...don't worry, i was very gentle.

Gma and Grandpaw and a big blue truck!

the past two weeks... fall weather, pumpkins, costumes, candy (for mom, not jaden), boxes, many walks between the old house and new, a visit and much moving help from Gma and Grandpaw, a trip to San Antonio to surprise Pops on his birthday and in introduction to Ray VanderLaan.

our world has been busy, how does that always happen? but we're thankful!

we'll start with a special visit from some special grandparents two weeks ago! we loved having Gma and Grandpaw here! Grandpaw rented a great big blue truck to help mom and dad move boxes and furniture, mom really liked the truck - i think it's cause she grew up in Texas. Gma made the most wonderful foods for everyone (our family and the 12 others that helped us move!) and SHE PLAYED WITH ME, the best part!

thanks for coming Gma and Grandpaw!
